Desire hails from New England, and is the worship band for the Lighthouse Church in Plainfield, CT. The group released their debut album, “Face First”, in August 2009, and saw four of their songs receive airplay on FM Christian Radio. The CD was produced by Dave Gregg, who worked along with producer/engineer Kenny Lewis (who has worked with artists such as Stryper, Daddy Yankee, Freddie Jackson, Steve Pearcy, and many others) at Mixed Emotions Studios in Boston, MA. Desire Worship Band was also the featured musical group at the 2010 “Agape Conference”, which also featured such well-known speakers as Gary Smalley and Shaunti Feldhahn. Desire is currently in pre-production for their follow up CD.

Desire was formed by Dave, the band’s main songwriter. The lead guitarist for Johnny Depp’s former band, the glam-rockers Rock City Angels (Geffen Records), Dave’s songwriting was greatly responsible for helping them to secure what is still the largest deal ever given to an unknown, unsigned act - $6.2 million dollars. After coming to Christ in 1988, Dave spent several years as a worship leader before entering into pastoral ministry. He most recently worked with the group Scarlet to Snow, and the songs on their CD “Schizophonic Worship Vol. I” have been used to lead worship in many churches. Their single “I Will Praise Him” was on regular rotation on Christian radio in the New England area.

As some very talented musicians and singers began discovering the exciting atmosphere of the Lighthouse, and becoming members of the worship team, it soon became clear that their music would go beyond the four walls of the church. Each of the members of Desire (below) share a passion for authentic worship which is apparent every time they perform.
